Subjects recognition

Subjects recognition in Degree in Architecture Studies at ETSAB is governed by the established in the Academic Regulations of the Degree and Master’s studies of UPC and its framework. 

"Recognition is the acceptance, in an official study of the UPC, of the credits that have been obtained in an official learnings, in the same UPC or any other university, this is computed to the effect of obtaining an official title. This recognition implies the establishment of an equivalence in terms of a specifics and /or cross cutting competences and the workload for the student between subjects of studies plans conducive to to the obtaining of official titles.

The recognition shall always be made from the subjects studied in the origins studies, never from validated subjects, adapted or previously recognized."

  How to submit the application and documentation?

Submit an application through the UPC's electronic office. If the documentation you provide cannot be verified electronically, you will need to provide the original at the Secretary's Office, within the deadlines for submission.If you have any queries, please contact us at 

 Once the application has been submitted

-  The ETSAB's Office will check the documentation. If the documentation is complete and correct, you will be informed of how to pay the fee for the recognition and validation study, as stablished in the Decree on public prices.
 
- The ETSAB's Recognition and Validation Committee will issue a conditional resolution that later must be ratified by the UPC's Validation Committee.
  
Recognised subjects shall be enrolled in the next enrolment period established by the ETSAB. The price of the credits is fixed by the aforementioned decree. 
  
If subjects already enrolled are recognised, you will have to contact the Secretary's Office through   to modify the corresponding enrolment and process the application for the refund of public prices, if applicable.
  
If you extend your previous studies and wish to apply for further recognition in subsequent years, you must follow the above procedure again (including payment of the fee).
   

  Submission deadlines

 The request may be submitted during the months of June, July and until September 2nd, 2024, such as established the academic schedule of the UPC for study plans with annual enrollmeFor new students who enrol in September, there will be a term of 3 working days after the enrolment date.
