Advanced Mechatronic and NVH Systems for Automotive applications
24/02/2022
This course is intended to educate graduate and passionate engineers that are interested in learning the state of the art on Advanced Mechatronic and Noise and Vibration Harshness (NVH) systems in the Automotive field.
The educational modules are designed by industry and academic experts with more than 10 years of experience in the Vehicle development with the aim of helping the attendants to accelerate their careers in the automotive industry.
75 % of the Lectures delivered by
Dr. Stefano De Pinto - Vehicle Dynamics Expert
Dr. Davide Palmieri - NVH Expert
25 % of the Lectures delivered by
European Academic Experts in the field
At the end of the course, the student will have gained the advanced, specialist skills dealing with the most up-to-date theories related to vehicle dynamics and NVH that are essential to nearly every job role as Automotive engineer. In particular, the topics covered are specifically designed to provide the methodological tools to pursue professional activities, enhance the ability to work in interdisciplinary environments and teach how to implement the theoretical knowledge learnt in the practical vehicle application. For those willing to specialise in these engineering areas, our experts share straight, from vehicle development, a real time knowledge that is not available in classic textbooks. The relevant computer technologies needed for these aims are also provided with more than 25 hours of dedicated practice sessions.
Main Aims
• To provide advanced training in the Vehicle dynamics and NVH fields without neglecting a concise presentation of the fundamentals
• To provide an advanced analysis of the vehicle handling, from the theoretical to the modelling perspective, with a thorough description of the handling evaluation criteria
• To analyze the state-of-the-art semi active and active systems, namely Rear Wheel Steering (RWS), Torque Vectoring (TV) and variable Roll Moment Distribution (RMD) that influences the vehicle response with a critical analysis of their strength and weaknesses
• To understand vehicle behaviors, sound characters and how to define it
• To offer professional specialization preparing students for skilled positions with the most up-to-date vehicle theories
• To offer an extensive training dealing with different vehicle modelling approaches (e.g. from two degrees of freedom up to more complex model) that are essential for controls and Computer-Aided-Engineering (CAE) applications
