Study of antibiotic loaded polymer nanoparticles for controlling bacterial infection
Antibiotic loaded solid lipid nanoparticles (NPs) will be prepared using high intensity ultrasound and high-pressure homogenization. The NPs will be engineered on both composition and surface properties to be used against bacteria.
Objectius
The student will acquire knowledge of how to prepare and characterize the obtained functional NPs using different techniques available in our lab. He/she will learn to work in a research group, think critically and solve problems in order to complete the scientific mission during the visiting period. Each student will be guided by an expertise in the field of chemistry, microbiology, and nano(bio)technology to optimize the research process and maximize her/his learning experience. Furthermore, the applicant will have the opportunity to participate in national/international projects and scientific publications.
